Hey Jon, it’s always great to see other Simpsons Tumblrs. As for my method, I won’t go into great detail, but I use mostly freeware programs to cut out the clips I want to gif, separate the video clips into separate images (I use a program called VirtualDubMod) then edit them together in Photoshop.

There are a lot of different methods though and plenty of online tutorials. My method works for me because it gives me a lot more control over the look and size of the .gif, which is important for Tumblr since it only animates up to 500kb gifs.

Also, I’m think I’m going to be changing the way I post. I originally wanted to go episode by episode, season by season, but I haven’t had the time to post regularly doing this. So from now on there probably won’t be any particular order to gifs I post and I encourage all of you to make your own gifs and submit them.
